Xenon Inc. WarDrive ToolBox 1.1.0 is a suite of tools for wardriving. The practice of wardriving is considered to be the activity of driving with a computer or another wi-fi enabled device looking for wireless networks and use them for browsing or other purposes. In some countries, this practice is illegal. But, all the applications (or rather tools) contained in this suite can be genuinely used for legal purposes. The first thing to notice is that the application divides its several tools in tabs. Most tabs are self-explanatory. WarDrive ToolBox has a ping tool, a netstat tool, a router access tool, and even a GUI port of the Windows messaging service. Using the main tabs, you can access the network's shares and there is even a packet sniffer (can't think of any decent uses for that). The packet sniffer launchs in a separate window and actively looks for new packets being sent through the network. Of particular interest to me was the speedtest feature. By simply starting a test, you start pinging a default host so that you can know what the networks latency is. In short, this suite of tools has several utilities that can help gather a lot of data about a particular network. The design leaves a lot to be desired. You can't even maximize or resize the main window. It is quite annoying.
